HYDRAULIC OIL REGENERATION 

Oil Life: Oxidation is the primary reason of oil degradation*. The overheating of oil, wear metals, and water in oil will increase the rate of oxidation. The by-products of oxidation are organic acids, the TAN value in oil analysis will detect it. Oxidation causes sludge/varnish problems, loss of lubricity, etc. Oil color will change to brownish over time.

New oil acid number is approximately 0,2 mgKOH/gr of oil. When TAN value increases over 1,0 mgKOH/gr, oil should be changed as sludge and vanish may cause the valves to stick, covers cooler elements and prevents adequate cooling.

REGENERATION filter will trap these oxidation by-products which will be noticable with color change of the oil, viscosity also improves. REGENERATION does not make base oil or totally new oil. Its purpose is to keep oil acidity under control and delay degradation of the oil.

* Particle contamination is not a factor of oil degradation, BUT contamination is dangerous for hydraulic equipment such as pumps and valves. Therefore contamination causes oil drain before oil's chemical and physical properties are depleted. Existance of water in oil is also a reason for oil degradation, but water also can be removed from oil and oil becomes usable again is detected at early stages.

FRYING OIL REGENERATION

Suggested frying temperature for frying oils is 180 0C dir. Frying at higher temperatures will cause oil smokes and generation of trans fats in oil. Acid number will increase, oil becomes unusable after certain level.

The oil is passed through regeneration/reconditioning unit which will trap oxidation products and make the oil look lighter and reduce bad odeur. Clay is not a chemical and used in oil production to change the color of new oil.

ATTENTION: No chemicals is used to make the color lighter. Chemicals do not reduce acid or unhealthy by-products while changing the color to lighter. Acidity level is the same.

TRANSFORMER OIL REGENERATION

Transformer oil can be maintaines by dehydrating, filtering and regenerating without a need to wait for oil drain period. .

Oil will be kept dry and clean all the time as filtration device can be attached to transformer while it is active. Humidity and contamination will accelerate degradation of the oil.
